so for longer than i can remember struggled with a host of issues including but not limited to childhood trauma,depression adhd. recently spoke to someone re: microdosing
ive done many things but fungi isnt one of them,

im interested in making my own so i can be in control of my medication a bit more and if gets off some prescription nastys in due course then bonus

couple qs
firstly does species/strain matter are some better for purpose of microdosing than others?

secondly if using the "stamets stack"
Psilocybin Mushroom Powder = 100mg – 200mg
Lion’s Mane = 50 – 100 mg
Niacin = 100 – 200 mg

does it strictly have to be lions mane or could you use for example a 7 mushroom blend ?

any pointers/guidance would be amazing

No idea about psilocybin strains for this, but I believe the Lion's Mane is very specific mate due to the potential for compounds contained in it enabling neural pathway growth. I've been doing a Stamets Stack regime for over a year now and it seems to be working well for me. Make sure you get the flushing kind of Niacin! 0.2g of shrooms seems best for me as I didn't get that much from 0.1g. If it's working well then somehow your day and difficult/stressful tasks and situations should be easier to handle. Good luck!

One last thing: be aware that European Liberty Caps (Psilocybe semilanceata) contain mostly psilocybin and no psilocin and they are one of the most potent species.

So if you go foraging and plan to eat them fresh make sure you weight them.

I think when we were irresponsible teenagers in times before the internet we took a minimum of 50 libs when wet. Dry, we took hundreds in tea. Could get a plastic bread bag equivalent volume in a few hours of picking in one prime spot, so people ended up with thousands of them.

Yeah those were good times (youth + a simpler, less dystopian world).

First time we picked 150 caps with two friends - one had of us had taken them once before so we felt slightly reassured.

While not technically an heroic dose we were in quite the ride, as always with psychedelics it is impossible to know (or "understand" would be a better word here) what to expect.

After that we would have 2 to 3 trips every Autumn up until my mid-twenties.

Oh man. This just unlocked memories.
I successfully managed to grow with spores bought from a headshop, gotta be 25 years ago with some mates. We bought the agar from a Buddhist centre as no one else knew what it was!
We were unsure of dosages but being young assumed more must be better. I reckon we used to regularly consume 10g+ and trip balls.
Makes my current state of carefully weighed, powdered and dosed trips seem tame in comparison. Granted the world came at me fast but the spirit of the pre (or at least pre mainstream) internet era was wonderful.

That sounds very industrious of you! Yeah, no idea of amounts but I'm assuming they were heroic doses as basically reality often melted and it took me up to 8 hours of trying to roll a joint to achieve success, and a poster on my wall talked to me once. I remember the day after the first time and the patterns in bricks on a wall shimmered. Never the same again, man.

Have a look at a web site called the shrommery you'll find everything you need there and then some.

I did microdose using shrooms for a year every other day but have stopped as some research papers demonstrate that repeated and sustained microdosing can cause cardiac fibrosis and cardiac valve damage.

You could buy some capsules form a vendor like Dr Shroom and get a feel for it.

I bought caps from two vendors and in the end settled on Gased Limitless 0.11g. I initially started with 0.3 but that was a bit too much for a micridose although different people react differently.

The only thing different about each strain of shroom is the level of psilocybin they contain, they're not like weed strains which have many differing qualities.
No idea about the staments stack, i'd stick with just shrooms till you're familiar with them good luck!

My advice is stay away from any mushroom blends on Amazon or any that say they were grown, organic or otherwise, in china.
Cotswolds mushrooms do a number of uk grown organic mushrooms and are my go to if I’m ever running low on home grown!
Whilst it’s mostly right you should be fine with any strain as a microdose I tend to keep away from anything penisy or albino. The moment you start to really feel a microdose it’s probably too strong!

Lots to agree with here.

With cubensis the strength of your mushrooms will depend more on grow conditions than variety. Don't buy powder unless you know it was freshly made. Whole mushrooms (dry) remain potent for up to years, powder drops off 10%+ in a month.

Lion's Mane is specific but you can have it in a blend. Ideally 500 to 1000mg if your using extracts. Recommend getting that from a health store rather than unknown brown powders for cheap off ebay.

Niacin (nicotinamide - niacinamide = flushing - non flushing) as much as you can tolerate, 100-500mg but neither are essential.

Have days off, tolerance rises fast but falls quite fast too.
