religion are rules made up by a select few to control the masses. the only thing to be taken from religion is morality and not belief, it's complete and utter nonsense. and even then bigga. i'd be careful.

you are an amalgam of chemicals which when combined create the subjective experience we all have and share. once you are gone you are gone. maybe another chemical reaction will happen and you'll be reintroduced to the subjective experience and mortal coil once again. but there is no afterlife. only non-existence. you cannot comprehend before you were born. you cannot comprehend after you have died.

spending this short time you have been granted by evolution by worshiping a false deity is foolish. spend this time appreciating the very very little time you have been given in what is one of the most complex things us humans can't even begin to comprehend.
