I've not had it prior so don't have a point of comparison but I did receive some and found it to be a good quality hash only beaten by some double filtered I've had.

I know what you mean about the darker exterior but breaking it open is a lighter colour indicating they just pressed it harder. It doesn't require much effort to break apart and crumble some by using the base of your thumb against it. If to sticky you can roll it into strips.

Hope you get it sorted so you're satisfied though. I know from experience TGT can be slow reading and replying to messages but they sort it in the end ..frustrating as hell in the meantime though. I'm waiting for a no show special delivery which is as fun as it sounds. They handle a lot of orders and I've no reason to distrust them. It's just a case of smoking and waiting.
