I was brought up on late 70's,80's hash and import bush in Manchester. Quite honestly the hash was super high quality. Red leb. Rocky. Black Moroccan. Pakistani Black. Afghan Black. Sputnik Black. Even the friggin Slate was fresh and tasty.
All the old hash heads know the story.
In the late 80's came the advent of the dreaded 'Diesel ' 'hash' which was utterly disgusting and polluted with all kinds of toxically shocking sh!t. This was the result, I'm led to believe, of the 'gangsterization' of the import trade , culminating in one of the most horrendous products conceived by mankind. To wit, The Eurobar !!
Aaaaargh.!!!
No wonder home grown took over despite 'soap bar' retailing at £30 per oz.
I'm happy to see hash making a comeback. But for the most part, 'it's not as strong as it used to be! '
One may theorize that years of smoking bud has burnt out sundry thc receptors in my brain . But I don't think so. Some modern hash don't even touch the sides. I can sometimes be smoking it , it tastes creamy and lovely and that, but, no hit. I'm left wondering 'is this CBD hash or what ?'
What's the point in producing low THC hash. It's supposed to be a refined product.
Footnote: Kashmir Black was possibly my all time fave.
Rant over thankyou
