I'll have a pop, fella. it'll shake-out something like the below... (the image is separate from my list, I just listed so I half-assed this :p ). take in the image. then read the text below.

1. install gpg suite (search). the installed gpg keychain software will be used to manage your keypair/s. a keypair is a private key and associated public key.
2. run the software. create keypair using appropriate information... the private key is fyeo. do not give it to anyone.
3. save you public key to your lb profile. so your message recipients can verify you (your signature) and send messages back to you. here lb is the 'trusted source'.
4.get the public key from a trusted source (which here is lb) of who you want to send a message to and save that in the gpg keychain software.
5. you can now send that person a message which is encrypted with the aforementioned recipients public key. you sign it with your private key. so you'd send the encrypted message in lb.
6. the recipient uses their private key to decrypt and read your message, verified as from you by the signature.

i. the reverse (how other reply/send to you) is essentially the same thing.
ii. to do encrypt and decrypt in windows is probably a right-click context menu item in outlook or maybe on a text file, idk tbh because f ms.
iii. yes, there is loads of info missing but should those bits should be more easily searchable.
iv. the ---pgp block--- cypher (header/footer included) is the encrypted message to be sent of decrypted.
