Newbie question

Do the strains change the high or is it just a flavour profile? Like if I get a sativa strain distillate do I get a sativa like high or is the high always the same with distillates?

I have tried blueberry, gushers, biscotti, gelato. I find the gushers and biscotti to be most weed like. These are made with Cannabis derived terpenoids from cali according to the vendor.
The blueberry was nice but didn’t taste like weed

Oh hell yes, the distillate is vry thick and the terps are very clean and tasty!😁
I'm hoping because it that clear it's gonna last till vry end, like not many do, i've high hopes for this one.
