The dispute time window is shown at the top of your order page. If it has expired then you are out of process but there is still a way to register a late dispute.
Go to the vendors page and start a new topic with the title 'Request Late Dispute'. In the text box put:
Todays date.
Order date.
Order number.
Reason for dispute.
The borgs will pick it up from there.

Maybe you can shed some extra light on the whole dispute process.

I suspect I've been the victim of the same dodgy seller last month.

Cheap introductory offers - never arrived and plenty of biggas got played.

I was tempted to log my first ever dispute but it sounded like this would go on my file.

I suspect people who raise disputes all the time get flagged.

In the end I didn't do it because the amount was tiny i.e 10$.

I have no idea why Biggas get so hung up about raising disputes. There is no stigma attached to it, the system is there to be used and we all pay for it through the site fees.

Sure the algorythm will record your % disputes vs buys as an indicator of your overall reputation but so what? In reality the very best Biggas ie those with the most buys are statistically more likely to eventually have disputes simply becase they are buying the most gear. The system detects rogue buyers ie those who join just to try and rip off a few purchases, not to penalise long term Biggas.

Reputation can effect % pay out for a refund which again is designed to effect rogue buyers. It won't effect someone with 50 or 100 buys and 2 disputes.

As thejackal says, where a vendor goes rogue (ie does an exit scam) then escrow will pay out 100% to every disputer without those being recorded.

Hope that helps. Biggas who stay within the system and open honest and fair disputes are doing the right thing. Note also that most (70%+) of opened disputes are resolved between the vendor and the bigga without final Borg involvement. Its not a perfect system of course but it ain't bad!

Sounds like something specifically made so people don't dispute mate. You can see my stats so can see I have a dispute. It's had no influence on any vendors interacting with me. It's all automated, and no-one has any input.

I have a question on disputes too...a little while ago I opened a dispute but after contact from the seller everything was sorted out and I cancelled the dispute.
Today I find that the dispute has now appeared on my buys.
Is this possible to be corrected?

Looks like a glitch that has appeared on many accounts. It will be corrected no doubt…

Its not a glitch Polly its an "update" according the the cleanup borg, no longer is the best course of action to open a dispute and close it later when the issue is resolved because now all disputes are recorded regardless of outcome we have pleaded with them on their post and in multiple messages all to no reply :(

if this potential dispute is against High Society u need to log that late dispute request ( following instructions from Polly) .. it will show on profile during the dispute but as High Society is "fraud suspected" u will win 100% refund and no dispute marker will b on profile (fraud suspected vendor disputes do not stick on profile) .. hope this helps ps I won my dispute last night against said vendor and my profile is now dispute free 😁
