Made edibles with d9 distillate and they taste like shit literally mixed it with gummy’s worst taste ever
I make sweets often but always use bud or bitty from my stuff brought distillate for the first time tried it under the tounge didn’t taste bad or nothing but didnt particularly feel high then made some sweets today by mixing melted gummies with the distillate tried one and it was rank. any reason why and is it easy to inject it into pre-made sweets to stop the shit taste thanks in advance

All D9 edibles have that bitterness from my experience if that's what you mean?

It shouldn't be overpowering though unless they are insanely dosed, it's more the after taste.

I find RSO to be a bit more pleasant, you could give that or FECO a try.

Thanks, this is my first time with distillate brought sweet once and didn’t feel anything so started making them myself but first time using distillate so not sure how they should taste it was horrible almost a chemically taste/ bitterness and they were pretty weak I put 1/1.2ml into 20 chunky cube sweets

Yeah the bitterness is probably just the distillate you are tasting for the first time.

Although not sure why it wouldn't taste bitter when you put some under your tongue.

If you don't want to taste it then you can put some in a capsule and take it that way instead.

Not sure on the specifics of the distillate you bought but those sweets you made should be around 40mg each.

To put that into context 10mg can be too much for me sometimes, which makes me think you may be one of the unlucky people who can't get high from edibles, for whatever reason.

You can read more about that here;

https://cannigma.com/physiology/why-edibles-dont-work-for-some-people/

FECO is Full Extract Cannabis Oil, ethanol is used to extract all the terpenes, cannabinoids, THC/CBD etc from bud.

RSO is extracted by using alcohol or naphtha as a solvent.

I have been down that road before and for years I was buying what I assume either diluted distillate and or cbd/d8 mixed.
Only a couple years ago I tried a new vendor and it was day and night difference. Now my edibles strong af as they should be.
So I'd suggest try another source for your distillate.
A pure distillate also flavourless, I would stay miles away from it if tastes like chemicals. There are many dilutants available and there are many dodgy sellers. Few years ago vitamin E was sold as a dilutant that killed many people and was banned but I wouldn't be much surprised if there are sellers who stocked up on that shit and don't want it to go to waste.
I stopped vaping for this reason. It has come to a point where buying distillate and/or vape comes with a high stake "my life is in your hands" kinda level and it does not worth the risk for me.
Be safe

You more flavouring and you’ll get less of the bitter taste, rso will give you the same and flower is shit. If you’re making by hand just add extra flavouring and Robert’s your fathers brother

I make big batches often using bud and I’ve never had a bitter bad taste or batch using infused coconut oil mixed with sweets but this time I just put sweets and distillate and it totally changed the taste was just looking to cut down on time as takes a while to decarb and infuse wanted to skip all that by just using distillate but seems like it won’t work

I wouldn’t use flower just because you can’t get the
% of the mg content that’s why we stopped, if you doing for medical patients they need consistency but if just for you then it doesn’t really matter

I’ve got a t check so I check the % of oil after it’s done & bud % before it’s cooked

Fair enough bro seems you got it dialed in nicely 🤜

I’d say you get 75% roughly if you do a second lot of oil thru the same bud but it’s still less cost effective than other ways but it always tastes good and never had complaints

If it’s not broken why fix it 👍
