That’s not true at all Polly on liters of d8 in the states. I’ve lived in LA and been around the industry for years lol. A d8 liter costs about half the price. Used to see people import the brand packaging with QR codes etc and grab about 10k plus units for close to $3 a piece. For cold hard numbers back years ago when I worked in the industry you could get a d9 liter which is 1000 carts worth for around $800-1000 and a d8 for half that. People would cut the product as common practice. It’s the same thing as plenty of people who bought $200 hemp sprayed packs. I can tell you from experience that’s not true on cost. I will say though what you said about the terpenes yes could be true depending on the test. source: worked on grows, worked in extract facilities.
I’d also like to point out they literally spray edibles with distillate for bulk sale in the US hence why you see black market packaging lying about total MG of thc.
Edit: you also say “synthetic d8” d8 is a natural cannabinoid. It’s not synthetic. I wasn’t saying they were creating a synthetic d8. D8 is mainly extracted from cbd if concentrated which is what makes it incredibly cheap to produce in the US where it’s legal in all states. I’m saying they cut it with it. If you’d like to refute what I’ve said please tell me what work you did in the cannabis industry in the US that you’d know better than I do. I’d love to know.

I do agree 100% with the facts you’re saying. My only point I disagreed with was price which is why I replied to correct you. It really is common for people to use d8/d9 mix.

My purpose isn’t to scare people but for people to understand as someone who’s seen how many bad carts are pumped out in the hundreds of thousands that most of the stuff people get here is going to be cut or fake. If it’s a somewhat commonly shady extract. Even shatter in the states is kinda shady for out of legal state buyers bc it’s CRCd a lot of the time.

I’m all for harm reduction and it’s why I made the account to reply. Y’all are my people now and I don’t want to see people get hurt when I have information to prevent it.

My point was that in the legal market a vape pen with distillate is quite expensive so if you see someone selling a 1000mg vape as a dispensary vape and it’s not like $60-70 then it’s probably made black market. Just want everyone to be safe. Didn’t mean to over generalize but it truly is a reality of the market and it’s scary to have in first person seen how bad some of the practices are in cali especially.
Literally knew people who would get Stoney patch kid bags and lay out a tarp and spray distillate on 20-30k units at a time to move in bulk wholesale online. I just am trying to say that if that’s what the illegal states get stuck with I can imagine people from a different side of the globe aren’t always getting access to the better quality stuff.
