I always failed to understand why certain substances, that are addictive and harmful, even more harmful then certain 'Illegal substances', are licensed to be made and sold by Big Pharma for Big Profit.
Big Pharma has the same ethical standards then your average narco cartel and shares the same business model: Having a monopoly on manufacturing, distribution and sales of a psychoactive drug that causes harm. All claims about harm are being denied, if you break the omerta, then your career is over. Anyone that can be corrupted, will be corrupted.
Add being educated by parents that spoon feed pills prescribed by doctors that are rewarded with holidays to tropical islands, wrapped in some medical conference packaging.
The creators of this mess, are the ones to blame for any abuse of prescription medication. That abuse is a symptom, diseases are never cured by treating symptoms but by eliminating the root cause.
