after a "stable" couple of months in terms of fees and pricing it seems to have completely shat the bed today

had to get bent over by coinbase's daylight robbery transaction fees twice today since they wanted £6 in fees to send £80 to my wallet

unfortunately all we can do is just get fucking dicked over by it all because nothing will change on here speaking from lots of experience

even after manually adjusting exodus wallet fees, i had to spend £102 to make a £79 order, that £23 was lost to purchasing fees and transaction fees

exodus wallet does not keep transaction fees, they set them according to network conditions and the fees go to the network operators (miners).

you can override their suggested fees, the lower the slower basically until it's so low that it wont get picked up by the network, in this case you get your money back. a decent risk to take when the network is busy from a price rally since you are going to get more back than you sent in fiat terms.

Huge huge fee's for every one right now its cray cray. Seen miners earned over 50billion in mining transaction blocks. The new age banks incoming digital age. But yes lets hope the fees go down real soon as i want to buy some goodies.

Exodus do have set larger fees but i do not mind paying them generally - it's when its a more global issue every fee is up i tried a few other wallets.

You can also set your fee to really low but a miner but not pick it up and gets held up in the blockchain pending for ages. Pay high fees they get it faster.

Could it be high fees at the moment? I've had similar with other wallets, they're taking their cut before being sent. But that's high for exodus though.

On Exodus, you can manually adjust the fee you pay. It's worth doing as it usually defaults to a much higher fee than is required.

When you've input the amount you want to transfer, you'lll see 'Advanced' just below. Open the drop-down and you'll be able to change the fee.

I don’t transfer to a wallet I just send straight from Coinbase I get charged not much when I buy when I send I get charged a very little network fee somtimes free depending on the amount

Yes, so have cut them out and just bought BTC through my wallet instead (not sure why I haven't tried that before)..seems to work fine!
I also thought that charges might have been ridiculous because of the recent crash and volatility as a result. It's ridiculous though that charges can vary so much so definitely looking into everyone's recommendations for better flat rates and charges.

I've just opened the exodus wallet ,transferred only £2.80 from my coinbase account just to try it out. It was £1.09 after transfer .Coinbase to lb is 44p I think

I've seen that coinbase now do a thing for £20 a month as a premium type deal where then you don't pay any more fees. Haven't tried it. To send from coinbase to transaxe costs lest than 50p anyway, but i'd say if you usually lose more than £20 a month lo coinbase fees it would be worthwhile i guess.

Buy & send BTC from Coinbase. The fees are cheap.

Yeah I had same issues using other apps no showing extra fees im using exodus now and haven't had the same issues just checking it's sending the right amount

I have the same problem with crypto COM , i get charged 0.0006 bt everytime i send on there, works out about extra tenner everytime!

I use coinbase to exodus wallet, or just Bitpanpa. The coinbase option is around $2 for most transactions. Bitpanda has a minimum deposit of $25 which can get a little annoying.

Yep, the blockchain has gone mad... they were asking me 60 dollars to send 60 dollars using Blockstream Green. Ended up sending all my BTC for 50 dollars (a lot more than 60 dollars yet I paid less, weird.) to Electrum wallet and started using that, the fees are 10x better and I've saved loads already...

136 sats costs you $85 with Blockstream, got 205 sats for $6 at peak times with Electrum.

I've had loads of customers messaging me about their orders remaining unpaid for ages, even after confirmations... Hopefully it all mellows out soon, delays are never fun.😊

I've just started using boxes that are narrow enough for Large Letter postage. I also vacuum pack to mask any odour, but I won't remove all the air as that's when buds can be crushed.

£11.75 for 50 letterbox sized boxes, pretty cheap.

You'll probably find you can get 100 for just a couple of quid more, and they look much more professional.

Hi mate, you can buy 1g 3.5 or ounce Mylar bags on Amazon.

You get 100 for £30 and we’ve found these a great option.

We put ours in the Mylar bag and then double vac seal and we’ve never had a problem.

Just another Royal Mail update.

From today, if they miss you for delivery, they will attempt to deliver again the next day. Which hopefully saves people having to visit the depot.

You will still have all the other options available to you.

RM are currently trying to get all their staff to sign new contracts, dividing the workforce as is common in these things, the working atmosphere is terrible and so (as desired) existing staff are leaving or going off on the sick, so they can hire in new staff on the lower pay structure. I'd imagine it'll continue local and sporadic. Your local postie needs your support

100% right, I spoke to my postie who’s worked there 20 years and they’re offering them all minimal payouts to find another job, they want to staff it all with agency workers. Currently waiting on RM to drop an international package off so I’m sweating lol

That's a pain for you. From what we have seen it's the local sorting offices that seem to cause the delays. 24hrs tracked seems to be on time now, which is good 👍
