Sending it’s not a problem, bro. Receiving is. New rules states that staff from outside EU must bear import tax and VAT. Even if the declared value is under 100 euros. And taxation is only done by a Customs office. And you will never see my ass around that kind of office asking for an funny envelope with my name on it.

Yeah that's what I meant, but I think there's still some way for the vendor to declare it so that the import tax and VAT are prepaid (of course, cost will be comprised in the buying price) and no need for Custom office then. But I don't know if it's only available to big compagnies or any vendors.
Think I'll stick to EU vendors, but they're becoming rarer and rarer

True, there are few EU vendors aviable. LB is dominated by UK players. Someone must see the potential and act, as there are lots of money to spend.

I've been providing service to most of the world and mostly to europe from the middle east in the past months with success. sending parcels as a standard online store commodity, labeled (much) less than 100eur. I've never encountered any problems doing so nor any customer messaged me about needing to pay any tax for their order. but if any change is about to come i ought to be ready and willing to adjust to it. if you have any more information I'd appreciate it because I couldn't find anything about it online. thanks for bringing it up. cheers!!

Yes, every parcel sent form an non EU country arriving to EU territory gonna end up in the customs office of your postal office to which you are assigned. The reason it was not enforced till now was that (in my case) not every postal office had an customs office. They are scrambling to hire personal for the jobs.

Sites like amazon.co.uk redundant. I cannot be certain but I thought my wife got something from outside the eu and when it was being delivered the postal service told her there was vat/tax to be paid of 4euro or something nominal like that.if you don't pay item gets returned to sender if possible or a note saying item at local post office and to pay amount there.customs shouldn't have time or space to store item unless something is deemed suspect.in my country that would be a letter saying customs want to open something with you present.ahem no thanks!

Don’t know how it will work as it’s happening as we speak. Amazon and other big players gonna be hard hitted, and i suspect that they will come to an agreement or something. Like prepaid vat and taxes. But hey, maybe sending stuff in a fake amazon parcel is near.

I recently tried to make an order for my brother it was $108 (£84) .and with fees to go on..came up to (£124) .f*****g
Crazy ..bittylicious .so pulled the plug on that order. .think everybody in same situation ..

Its definately turning people away from making orders and the site in general, i had to make an XMR payment earlier on today and it cost me £0.02 to send £330! Thats how it should be on here!

Also while there was a %20 increase in price!
