when will the uk rejoin the eu?

PhillyDawg
England won’t. Scotland will when we break free from this shoddy collab.

Zapgaz
Not sure about Wales or NI, but Scotland would thrive if they went it alone.

Pukoman
Hope it doesn't,Wouldn't that be a total shit storm for both parties, think what commotion Brexit has caused considering the relatively short time UK eu had been in union, and how long Scotland /GB have been united.

as soon as we can afford the entrance fee

Hopefully never, the UK is a great union and takes all 4 working together to make it so.
there's no reason why we can't be as independent as possible and stand on our own two feet, even if it means we are a few percent poorer,.
this doesn't mean we can't be friends with Europe and get along best we can and with them and the rest of the world.
Don't give our government the excuse of having European overlords if they don't perform.
Have some faith and love your country, it's not all bad here.

Poorer for what?

I love England very much but can't see any benefit of what you call independence.

Sure the EU gov is shit but as an individual it gave me much more freedom of trade and movement, all lost now.

Poorer for the good and bad that comes with independence, as much as you can be in this globalised day and age anyway.
I would liken this to running your own business or working for a company and taking a steady wage, I have done both and much prefer being my own boss and having more control of my destiny, rather than sitting back and being told what to do, take your pick I guess.
I don't regularly visit the continent, but for the few times I have since Brexit it hasn't seriously hindered me, just a longer queue to join at customs, and surely trade is still happening regardless, money talks at the end of the day, no doubt it there are winners and losers.

Agreed France is falling apart and is only able to pay back its national debt through there African colonies, Germany is faltering in there soloists shit pit.

When will people understand that communism is never the answer?
+1
quagmirewrangle
not sure what connection you're making between france, germany and communism?
Gammon
The EU is crumbling, it’s more likely that it will fall apart.

Why not fix the mess in this country and stop trying to destroy it?

Be proud of your heritage and the UK's massive contributions to world-changing inventions, such as the computer, steam engine, and penicillin,

Raise the colours and embrace it 🇬🇧.

Try to understand that you have been indoctrinated by a far left ideology over the last 25 years that has been backed by China to fill your head with this nonsense you poor feeble creatures.

If only we were crumbling so nicely, common estimates suggest that Brexit has already reduced UK GDP by around 4-5% compared to remaining in the EU, a figure aligning with the Office for Budget Responsibility's long-term forecast of a similar reduction in potential productivity.

We fucked up, this has nothing to do with our truly undeniable greatness (or China or any other straw man)

That's funny as it came out recently that your boy Klaus Schwab of altering data in the annual Global Competitiveness Report to downplay the UK’s post-Brexit performance and protect diplomatic ties with India.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) has been accused of rigging data in its Global Competitiveness Report to imply that Brexit was a failure. According to reports in Swiss media, WEF founder Klaus Schwab allegedly instructed staff to lower the UK’s ranking for economic productivity in the 2017-18 edition of the report.

And if there was not all of this cross party fighting since Brexit which has caused a lot of diddly dally and created this mess instead of putting country first they choose to take orders from WEF which has caused massive damage to growth also.

erm, i'm fairly sure that brexit was engineered by right-wing ideologues?

the right always seems to create this false binary that they are the ones who love their country (subtext: they want it to be white, christian, patriarchal, hetero, cisgender, royalist), while the left hates it (subtext: because they embrace diversity).
+1
quagmirewrangle
i'm not a poor feeble creature, dopey.

it's a position of weakness to call other people feeble just because they have a different opinion to you. if you felt more courage and strength in yourself and your convictions you wouldn't feel the need to do that.

it's also the kind of rhetoric that encourages and amplifies division, rather than reducing it.
Zapgaz
Hopefully as soon as possible!
Leaving this gammon ridden shithole and giving up my citizenship is very high on my priorities.....
