How does it work?
I've cancelled an order after no response from vendor (I'm not into naming and shaming lol), on Friday, but have to wait until Monday before it will automatically take place. At least that's what I think is happening.
The vendor hadn't sent my little order after 5 days so I initiated a cancel order myself you see. I didn't get a response from my polite messages.
Did I do the right thing or am I getting old and impatient lol. :) :)

No not at all. It didn't get past the "paid" notification. I paid almost straight away after I made the order. I asked politely twice if they were going to send my order but I got no reply.
Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have minded a delay as long as they said there was the situation. They might have things happening at thier end that affects things, it happens often in all vendors, and real life shops and mainstream websites.

It auto cancels at 100 hours after payment if the order isn't marked as sent, but clicking cancel only sends a message to the vendor for them to cancel it at their end (in case they've posted it already, potentially, at the time of cancellation). You'll then have to wait for a refund.
OK thanks very much for that information. I've learnt from it. I'll remember all of that in the future.
