Big part of that album was Andy Weatherall god rest his soul. If it weren’t for him and his production they’d still be doing Byrds impersonations (not that there’s anything wrong with that)
It was perfect symmetry at that time and resulted in a groundbreaking record.
Oddly enough it wasn’t one of those albums we used to toke to very much, there were loads of far more ‘expansive’ records for those listening occasions one of which was the Orb’s ‘Blue Room’ track in its 45 minute entirety… Still got my primals original bus stop poster for the album and the original double vinyl both of which must be worth a few Bob now…..
