Thank you all for kind words of welcome. I appreciate them during this time while I struggle with my Bitcoin wallet nitemares.
Initially all seemed to be going smoothly as I was verified and had full access on Coinbase and bittylicious and blockchain.
However this early promise crumbled when trying to log in and going round in circles and being told I needed to get verified when I had emails telling me I was verified. I continued and seemed to straighten it all out.
Then I could not purchase any coins as my cards were refused for some reasons unknown.
I then tried using another card and success. So I thought I would just try out purchasing a tenner worth of Bitcoin as a tester as I wanted to be sure and not lose too much if I messed up.
So successfully purchased a tenner worth for only 99p fees which seemed good. This was Coinbase. When it went thru there was about 7 pounds worth of Bitcoin which perplexed me but no matter as this is really a test tenner. I’ve wasted considerably more on crap in the past so all good.
This was early morning by now and I thought all good. I transferred from Coinbase to Coinbase wallet all ok. It now stood at just under 7 pounds worth.
Upon rechecking this pm I saw in my wallet about 7 pounds still but horrifically underneath it said miners fee 122 pounds. Shock. Horror. Gnashing of teeth.
There I left it.
Does this mean I owe Coinbase 122 quid or only if I try and use the seven pounds worth of Bitcoin in wallet. Also in my Coinbase portfolio it says I have 6 pence. Again I’m confused.
I am not super savvy at web based thingys but I this has really thrown me. I am on verge of giving up.
As I say because it is a small outlay so far I am happy to write it off but would prefer to have put the Bitcoin in a tip jar type thing.
Hopefully I make sense as this is all a bit long winded and I fear I am rambling on.
Next time I think I will try bittylicious and blockchain wallet as Coinbase seems very expensive.
Any hints tips and knowledge gratefully taken.

As I say I am new to this and actually don’t think I have ever posted on a forum or whatever it is called anywhere online so please bear with me if I am not correct in my reply’s. It is only because of my lack of net/web knowledge and is never meant in a bad way. Hope I am making myself clear still.

Hi people. I’m new to the online services provided here as I always had a very decent vendor to visit local to me.
Unfortunately things have gone very downhill since lockdown began so I started scanning web a few months back in the hope that I could find something and came across LB and was amazed at the variety and quality of service available here.
I am pretty nervous about getting stung so have not actually used the service yet. But I now am ready to dive in but am still pretty clueless about Bitcoin and how it all works although there are many noob advice articles which seem to show the way.
Anyhow I have setup a Coinbase account and used my drivers license for proof of ID but am still unable to use Coinbase as it says I am still being checked out,which seems to be taking an age.
Can I still make a purchase without having an account for Bitcoin ?
If so I think I will try a few samples first if any friendly LB peeps can recommend any particular vendors. As I say this is all very new to me.
I do love a good quality hash so this will be my first choice.
Soz if my post repeats the same theme as many others and I do think there is a wealth of info here, which is nice.
I was lucky in the past with local clues but these days I seem to have lost touch with so many people that LB seems to be my best bet.
