Welcome. It's understandable that your mate is raving about LB. It's a wonderful thing when you realise you can get weed to your door, without dealing with the chumpies who you have tolerated for years, to get your fix. It's freeing haha.
If you are coming across sub-par weed, I'm sorry to say, it will be because you are buying from sub-par vendors. Now...i dont say that to be rude. Each vendor has their own little way of running things, and they sell different quality buds. Some are happy to sell the day to day weed, at a lower price (which i avoid...its not what im looking for here) And then others plug the good shit. That will usually be the stuff you see at $60+ an 8th.
It's debatable whether the price is justified, but the LB market is weird. Prices have rocketed since coronavirus happened, and some OG vendors put up their prices. However, new vendors have joined during covid, and seem to have accepted $60 as their standard. I worry about them. Because when the prices do eventually fall...they will feel like they are losing. Its going to be messy lol.
Having said this, the best thing to do is keep a close eye on reviews. Who they come from and what they are telling you about the vendor, as well as the weed! I personally use TGT, ULC, RB and DIUK for nice quality. They all have their quirks...so its worth sampling from a few and see who you like best.
TGT - Usually some of the best strains available.
ULC - Fantastic delivery. Above average weed.
RB - Poor comms. Good prices. Decent erb.
DIUK - good prices, slower delivery but nice weed if not squashed flat -.- (holding out on an order until i see fluffy buds in the reviews again. Over packing issues admitted by vendor)
