Just diving in because it's a music thread and I'm crazy about music. That said I love all kinds from blues to classical, from jazz to opera, and of course hard rock, synth, pop, soul and everything else - apart from rap. The one music genre that does absolutely nothing for me. Bought the 12" of "The Message" by Grandmaster Flash when it was released and still have it. And that's pretty much where it started and then ended for me...apart from the Fugees doing "Killing Me Softly", but that's all about Lauryn Hill, which is another story.

He'll never invade, he's flexing his muscles and the west has reacted. Which is what he wanted.

Wars aren't fought by troops anymore. He wants to see the impact he can have on western media and culture in general by pushing troops around the border.

And quite frankly, if we (the west) have assured him in the past that Ukrain can't be part of NATO, then we start pitching the Ukraine to be part of it, on his border, I imagine he's gonna get a bit pissed off.

Try putting nuclear weapons next to the US. Oh wait, they did that in Cuba in 1962. And thanks to reasoned people (mostly Bob Kennedy and Robert McNamara) the threat was expunged.

Putin can’t claim territories of a dead empire. Ukrainians have the right to choose their ways. I say this as a neighbor of Ukraine. And for what a shitty neighbor Ukraine is, i still support their choice. Putin is a bully who will not stop if Europe doesn’t speak on one voice. And for fuck sake, nobody said nothing about nuclear weapons on the eastern UE border. Stop using this fake stories guys.

His end game is a strong Russia-we can't say the same for our leader.
P.S. War is a last resort for Putin. Open armed conflict will only happen after other means ( like cyber warfare and investment) have failed.
