You may see lighter coloured concentrates floating about
And very low prices

How is this possible, surely to get such a light product one needs to get concentrates usually from fresh material.

And using fresh good material is costly

The answer is CRC - it is a method which uses powder filters to essentially pull out the colours from the concentrate

Is this bad? Well. A similar sort of technology is used in bleaching Olive oil. But the issue is not in progressional industry

The issue is when non chemists or rogue chemists using cheap options to extract are cutting corners to yeild profits

In this situation it becomes harmful,

For example not using the correct type of sintered disk filtered will result in the powder filter residuals ending up in the final product

Which is toxic to humans, all types of powder filter are used such as bentonite.

There are more issues with CRC butane. Usually back door extractors will cut as many corners to save time

For example not distilling the hydrocarbon initially which means toxic metal oxides are still left in the product

If these are not filtered out initially they cannot ever be cleaned from the closed loop system and a new system would be required especially the hydrocarbon chamber


We can’t stress enough the importance of smoking what’s good for you and not what looks the part.

Often these concentrates smell great but this is the use of added terpenes

They are quite harsh at times and usually have very little potency compared to some of our darker pecan concentrates which are not tampered with
