lol it's different in different countries. A conservative in the US is different from a conservative in the UK.

As an example the BLM movement (btw I support equal rights for all races, genders etc.) have tried to expunge slavery and that part of history. Taking down statues of former slaveholders and so on won't change anything, we must remember these things happened so that they don't happen again.

Because of slow or no change for certain groups there is an attempt to accelerate that change from an evolution to a revolution. People will only be backed into a corner for so long whatever their political inclinations. Some people think they're pushing for positive change but real change is when we've learned the lesson.

Well the statues are an example. They are subjects for posterity but they also memorialise history and certain points in history. As such they connect themselves to that history.

I basically agree with you though, they aren't the history themselves and so it shouldn't matter. It's what they represent that makes the difference.

I feel that whether right or left wing, people have an agenda and push that. Both different sides of the same coin I'd say.

Again I do agree with the first part of what you said. Statues certainly venerate people, but also events. However cultures not putting up statues of 'twats'...well...that's a matter of perspective.

There are many examples of people that put up statues of people who are considered great or influential in their time and place. Those same people and statues are considered later, or by another group to be somehow offensive or detestable.

I'm not gona say that something like slavery in the U.S. wasn't a terrible thing, it defo was. I do think that removing something that is generally offensive to the majority should be considered. It's just that we also need to learn from these things and replace them with something that educates people about the history surrounding them so as to understand the bigger picture.

But yeah CRT, I am familiar with it...bit of a deep and complicated topic. But to answer your original question about that, yes I believe it is still something of a hot topic within education in the UK. I believe the Tories here (conservatives) said they felt CRT was biased, in other words trying to ram anti-racism down kids throats without opposing viewpoints.

This is a quote from the Equalities Minister, "Any school which teaches these elements of critical race theory, or which promotes partisan political views such as defunding the police without offering a balanced treatment of opposing views, is breaking the law".

So yeah interesting, jeez this turned into an essay XD

I do find CRT and the defund the police movements different. One is a collection of scholars etc critically evaluating how society has impacted people of all races and the defund the police is a social movement in response to innocent black people getting killed by police

I had to use a Bitcoin atm awhile ago so thought I'd share my experience with you all.

Coinbase was messing about an couldn't use my card, I tried my partners card an my mum's with no luck. I couldn't be dealing with signing up to other sites so looked into an atm and how far I would have to go to use one. After finding one which was 20mins away by train I thought fuck it I'll try it as I really needed to get some nice weed n hash as not going on the street to score anymore. I was up all night thinking about my journey, going throu everything that could possibly go wrong an how I would work around any mistake I made. So the big day is here an I'm on the train feeling nervous like that feeling the first time your waiting for your smoke from the site so I keep going to the toilet to vape but that made me very paranoid which was my only mistake of the day. Now I'm off the train I get my phone out for the map and start walking into the unknown. After about 10mins of walking I find the shop which to my surprise is a small shop selling middle eastern food so I go back online an make sure it's the right place. After seeing it was the right place I go in an ask "is your satoshipoint working" and he said "yes but it won't be switched on untill 9:30" so I went to McDonald's and waited bout 40mins. When I got back to the shop it was up and running so nothing was going to stop me this time :).
First off I set up my btc wallet to receive then on the machine I choose English as my language then less than £500. Now I start putting the cash in the machine an after I put £150 in there I choose btc then it asks for an address so I held my phone up to the scanner and done so simple and no I'D need. After walking out the shop I had a massive grin on my face, the kind you have after your first ever BJ.
The exchange rate was right just had to pay 7.5% which is bout 4% more than coinbase but worth it for not showing ID ect. I didn't really mind the extra 4% or the train fair as I sold abit of smoke so that funded my trip an a McDonald's :).
So all in all it was fun and a good experience, I can now say iv used a btc atm iv used the future of money.

I tried captain crunch, both the "wax" and "shatter" (There were two on offer and I ordered both)
It was my first time though. I bought a basic dab rig and blow torch thingy. (melted marshmallow is the best) Most people who dab want to avoid smoking mass amounts to get really stoned from what I can tell. I really like dabs. Definitely gets you high. I'm in Aus so have never seen any locally or anything, just here on lil big and youtube inst etc. You might be able to hot knife the dabs or a joint as mentioned but its actually really hard to work with. The "shatter" I got was more like honey and was as sticky as industrial glue or something. The wax was a little more handlable.

Anyway thought I'd share my experience.

Only thing, make sure it'd kept in the fridge. Once it dries out fully it doesn't taste anywhere near as good. Keep it in the fridge keeps it sticky.

Normally with shatter you should have a dab rig, i personally don't either, but i usually sprinkle it in a spliff as i pretty much don't use glass pieces apart from my glass blunt which i only use occasionally, but if you have a pipe or bong you can easily just sprinkle it over the bowl.

1 - don't be scared. it's hard to believe you can get cannabis in the mail like something from amazon but you can and unless you live in saudi arabia don't even sweat it for a second, no one gives a shit.

2 - bitcoins are a pain in the ass. getting your head around them conceptually is tougher than #1 but worth it. besides here you can use them to send money privately for your business or family without dealing with banks. it doesn't hurt to be ahead of the curve especially with finance. use the help resources here, they won't let you down.

3 - ratings are relative. like every rating system people are generally too kind or are total cunts and it resolves to a binary: 10 or not 10. this means a 9.9 is a ton better than a 9.4. if things are still too close to call read the reviews, they are legit, you can not write one unless you have bought the item.

4 - reach out to the community. if you need any help or have concerns come back here and post, it's the friendliest place you are going to find, trolls are not part of the culture but kindness is. it's also fun to read some of the crazier shit once you get your weed.

Once in a while something goes wrong; when it does, try to relax, regroup and contact the seller. The seller will remedy. Start small until you get confident in certain sellers.
